The Golf Committee is planning a fun-filled day for golfers of all abilities, from beginners to pros!   It’s a scramble format, which means that each team member tees off and the team chooses the best result as the position to hit their next shot.  Everyone gets chance to win, with guaranteed fun for all.

This year’s new and improved tournament will be on Sunday, July 11th at Laurel View Country Club in Hamden.  The festivities start with hot dogs and hamburgers at noon.  Everyone will tee-off simultaneously at 1:00 p.m.  Prizes for a hole-in-one include a Land Rover, Golf Cart, and trips to Hawaii and Cancun.  Raffle prizes will include a trip to Foxwoods, gift certificates for fine restaurants, golf equipment and more.  The day will conclude with a fine prime rib dinner at the Country Club, where prizes will be awarded for the best (and worst!) scores, longest drive, closest to the pin and other achievements.

$125 per player includes lunch, dinner, greens fees and golf carts.  Players and friends may purchase sponsors’ flags, displayed on each green, for $85.  Greens sponsors are $300 each. All proceeds benefit the Building Fund.  For more info contact Mike Wachter at 281-6078.
